Situation

  • Tennis has a big ambition: to create the best, most innovative integrity organisation in  world sport. It has made a good start by combining its anti-corruption and anti-doping work into a single, independent legal entity, one of the first sports in the world to do so.  
  • The sport devotes substantial resources to this work. The ITIA has over 30 highly skilled and experienced staff and a budget which, to the huge credit of the tennis governing  bodies who fund us, has increased steadily over the last three years, despite the challenges Covid presented to international sport. 

Challenge

  • The ITIA were looking for a new CEO to build on these strong foundations and to ensure tennis realizes its ambition and they needed someone who understood that regulation and integrity is at the center of the sport. 

Result

  • After 14 years at the Rugby Football League in the UK where she was Chief Regulatory Officer, Karen Moorhouse was appointed CEO of ITIA. Karen also served as a non-executive director on the Board of the highly successful Rugby League World Cup hosted in the north of England earlier this year.
